Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Trycut app ("Trycut", "we", "us" — a product of Ashbuild) does with your information.

1. Your photos

• When you ask for a look, the app sends your photo to Google's Gemini API. This is only to create the AI preview you asked for.
• We do not store your photos or your results on our servers. Your last photo and your Saved Looks stay on your phone, in the app's own storage.
• Google acts as our service provider. We ask Google not to store the content, but Google may keep request logs for a limited time to prevent abuse. We do not control those logs.
• Results are labeled "AI preview". They show an idea of a style, not a guarantee of how a haircut will turn out.

2. Who can use Trycut

Trycut is for people 18 or older. We ask you to confirm your age when you start, and the AI service we use is only for adults. We do not knowingly offer the app to children.

3. What we keep about you

• An anonymous account id. The app signs you in without a name or email. It lets us keep your count of looks, your plan, and a short history of how looks were used (for example "look made" or "look refunded").
• Your country, taken from the Google Play storefront (not from your phone's language), so we can apply the right offers.
• The app version and whether you confirmed you are 18 or older.
• Reports you send with "Report this look": the reason, an optional note and which look it concerned. We read these to improve safety.
• An integrity check. We use Google Play Integrity to check that the app is a genuine copy on a real device. It uses a token from Google and never includes your photos.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and look packs are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat. RevenueCat keeps purchase records so we can give you the right plan and looks. These records contain no name or email. You can cancel a subscription any time in Google Play.

5. Ads

Free users may see ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising id. In the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice in Settings. Pro subscribers see no ads.

6. Crash reports

We use Sentry to find and fix crashes. A report describes the error and the type of phone. We take care that reports do not include your photos.

7. Service providers

• Google (Gemini API) — creates the AI preview from your photo.
• Supabase — hosts our servers and the anonymous account.
• RevenueCat and Google Play — purchases.
• Google AdMob — ads for free users.
• Sentry — crash reports.

We never sell your data.

8. Your choices

• Delete my data: in Settings → Delete my data. This removes your account and the information we keep about you, and clears everything the app stores on your phone. It does not cancel a Google Play subscription — cancel that in Google Play first. Purchase records stay with RevenueCat for accounting and contain no name or email. More on the delete page.
• You can delete saved looks one by one, or uninstall the app.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be shown in the app.
